Why is information governance important? Our approach Benchmarking

In April, 2010, in his keynote address, the Deputy Office of the Information Commissioner David Smith stated that:

"More serious data breaches have taken place within the NHS than any other UK organisation since the end of 2007. A total of 287 breaches were reported, accounting for more than 30% of the total number."

Effective Information Governance is required to manage risks to the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information used by Public Sector organisations.
